Only applicable to majority of 4WD cars. It's job splits torque between the front and rear wheels. For optimal traction a 50 - 50 torque split is recommended. It may increase understeer, however the on throttle traction benefits will be unmatched. You may want to move the torque split further rearwards till you start to lose traction on throttle, to reduce the potential understeer a 50 - 50 toque split may generate.
Thanks to technology there are now Mobile and Tablet applications that can graphically interpret the Gran Turismo 7 tyre temperatures. This means you will have a numerical statistic to base your handling characteristics on. For example if the front tyre temperatures are too high with a 50 - 50 torque split, then you would want to move the torque split rearwards to not overheat the front tyres. Excessive heat within the front tyres will lead to increased understeer.
