Tuning Theory

1.1 Tyres Overview

Tyres should be the first upgrade to always consider when upgrading the performance of a vehicle. As a rule of thumb:

• >650PP - Racing Tyres

• <600PP - Sport Tyres

• <500PP - Comfort Tyres

1.2 Suspension Overview

The now that you've chosen the tyres with the most grip, it's time to pick the suspension upgrade.

• <650PP - Racing Tyres - Normal / Fully Customisable

• >600PP - Sport Tyres - Normal

• >500PP - Comfort Tyres - Normal

You may feel the Normal suspension is too soft to control the weight of the vehicle with Racing Tyres fitted. This is because with Racing Tyres having increased grip, a driver input will shift the weight faster. If the weight shift is fast enough, the car may pitch and roll an undriveable amount.

1.3 Differential Gear Overview

The Differential Gear is one of the most powerful setup tools at a drivers disposal. A perfect differential will lock the driven wheels from all unnecessary slip to maintain maximum traction.

1.4 Weight Reduction & Ballast Overview

Installing Weight Reduction and adding Ballast is a key element to change the cornering chrematistics,  as it gives the ability to change the front to rear weight distribution.

1.5 Custom Parts Overview

Custom Parts will give the ability to both increase cornering performance and cornering stability, through the ability to adjust downforce levels.

2 Transmission Overview

A key option that once optimised, both increases traction, acceleration and top speed. 

3 ECU & Power Restrictor % Overview

Adjusting these parameters will be the only way to both, increase and decrease torque output for a fixed power limit, as well as change both peak power and peak torque RPM limits.
